Nutritional Therapy Is A Clear Choice For Me - 798 Words

As diet and health are closely related, many believe that you would need to compromise on the taste in order to compensate the change in diet. I believe this is the wrong way towards a healthier and happier lifestyle. I assume that if people are able to find a good healthy diet that is suitable for them, they will start making sustainable and achievable changes to their lifestyles and consequently to their health. Being able to explain research evidence to people to make them understand that small changes to their lifestyle could make a difference is very fulfilling, so I believe furthering my studies in nutritional therapy is a clear choice for me. During my A2 Food Technology course, I have learnt the basic nutritional needs of different age groups and I have used this knowledge to modify a dish that was high in salt, sugar and saturated fat until it was nutritionally balanced. This increased my interest, how simple changes to food choices could alter so much to health and well-being. This task demonstrated my ability and a keen interest in the subject area of nutrition and mirrored the daily task undertaken by a professional nutritional therapist. During these 3 years as an undergraduate, it had been very valuable as it has expanded my understanding of how nutrition plays a role in the human body. The book that I am going to write about is â€Å"Lord of the Flies† by William Golding. â€Å"Lord of the Flies† is based during World War II on a deserted island. The plane, full of boys from a school, originated from Britain. The importance of the setting of the story is that the boys have been taken away from a normal society and are isolated on an island where they need to figure out their own form of society and decide on what should be considered normal to them. When we are in a society where someone has already come up with the rules and penalties; it is easy make decisions between right and wrong. When these boys are left to their own devices, they are mixed on the right way to run their community. Ralph’s social characteristics are to lead the boys with their interests and safety in mind; he believes that order leads to control. Ralph wants to run the tribe the same way as life was at the boy’s school. Jack on the other hand is the complete opposite; he believes that the only way that he can run the tribe is to have them afraid of him. Jack and Ralph have been at odds through out the story but it really comes to a head when they argue over voting Ralph out of power. Ralph tries to restore order but Jack runs off and requests that his â€Å"hunters† join him. Throughout the day, most of the tribe goes off to join Jack. Jack seems to make the most sense, he was the one that was able to catch the food and Ralph didn’t. The unruly order of the group gets out of control during a feast when the boys are overcome with violent tendencies. Simon is coming back from the mountain after he had passed out and wants to tell the rest of the boys what he has seen. The tribe is in a crazy state of mind and they se e a figure come out of the woods and pounce on him thinking that it was the beast on the mountains. But Adam is a proper rocker and the lead singer of a band. Because of this the classical music isnt too much and you have something else in between Beethoven and Mozart. The love scene between Aim and Adam in an old boathouse plays a cover of the Beyond song Halo which is different than any of the other music and fits perfectly.Overall If I Stay is a beautiful film about a young girl trying to follow her reams while falling in love with a boy who is trying to live his dream as well. With the bigger story in mind that those are all flashbacks while she is fighting for her life and deciding if she wants to stay alive or move on and let go. Far before the end loyal viewers will already be begging Aim to hurry up and make a choice. Even though the ending had a lot of people gasping and even making a few viewers angry or even disappointed, If I Stay is one of the best films I have ever seen.
